PowerSchool Account Activation Form
Students have the opportunity to rework or retake assessments that score a 70% or lower (for MOST classes). If an assessment qualifies, a "reworks sheet" will be stapled to the paper and will have an expiration date stamped on it. The "reworks sheet" MUST be completed IN FULL by the expiration date and signed by an adult in the family. Reworks MUST be completed within 5 school days.
Reworks Sheet Example

Every year, the Supernova team designs a team t-shirt. The deadline for ordering one is Friday, July 22 (extended from last Friday).
This is a one-time offer - meaning, that we will not be able to order a shirt for your child AFTER the order is placed.
If you would like a t-shirt for your child, please send in $15 cash or check (made payable to Salem Middle) with a completed order form (linked in far left column under "Team Documents").

What Parents Should Know About BYOD
First, it is optional. Students are NOT required to have a device. Whether or not a student brings a device to school is completely up to the parents/guardians.
Having a device does have its perks. We use devices a lot in classes. Our class work often requires Internet searches, and homework is supported with digital and online resources, as well. To accommodate students that do not have a device, we will often pair students with device-holders or use classroom computers.
Please know that we support whatever decision is made at home in regards to usage and ownership.
Below are a few of our key team rules:
Our Mission: Salem Middle School is a collaborative community that ensures high student achievement and values the unique needs of each learner.
