A Message from Your Yearbook Staff...
Hello students! This years' Yearbook Staff needs your help! We need YOU to send in pictures of your summer fun to email@example.com ASAP! The guidelines are as follows:
We need as much help as we can get, so send in as many as you would like! Spread the word! :)
Announcements & Other Info
Students have the opportunity to rework or retake assessments that score a 76% or lower (for MOST classes). If an assessment qualifies, a "reworks sheet" will be stapled to the paper and will have an expiration date stamped on it. The "reworks sheet" MUST be completed IN FULL by the expiration date. Reworks MUST be completed within 5 school days.
Reworks Sheet Example
The Salem Middle School book clubs are sponsoring a collection site for the Project Enlightenment Book Drive, “On The Road to Reading”. Project Enlightenment is a Wake County Public Schools System program that provides support to preschoolers and their families.
We need new or gently used picture books and board books to donate to families that do not have books in their homes. Please send any books you would like to donate to school with your child. Collection bins are located in our school’s library. Students who donate books will be entered in a weekly drawing to win an iTunes gift card. Our goal is to contribute 500 books to the Book Drive.
Thank you for helping to give the gift of literacy.
PE/Health Department Food Drive
Please donate items to the holiday food drive. They are collecting non-perishable foods like canned and boxed foods. The proceeds will go to the families in need that are part of our Salem community. Thank you in advance to all the people that have donated. Every item counts!
Senior Gift Rally
STUCO is holding their annual senior gift rally. Please donate today to help the residents of Phoenix Assisted Care! Salem's Student Council is asking for donations of small gifts that we can bring to the residents this December. We will be collecting gifts from now until December 4th. Gift ideas include: calendars, night lights, grip socks, and crossword books. Many of the residents at Phoenix are elderly and alone. Help us make their holidays a little merrier by bringing in your donations and making sure we have enough gifts to go around!
